Is syntax like:

r = 1..100

ok?

Fire away w/ syntax examples, it will probably turn out to be rather
easy to extend ipython with such a custom prefilter (see
Extensions/ext_rescapture.py for an example that installs a couple of
prefilters based on regexp matching).
