Good catch!  Mike, last night we were talking about the thread
behavior of the Goto BLAS you were using in some of your work.  Is
this code using that?  If so, can you try with a normal system build?
Can you reproduce the whole problem by running on my 64-bit box?  The
paths above using /Users/miket are on your OSX machine, so I'm curious
if we can see the same problem on my Linux one...
