[IPython-user] %history -g not showing full history

I accidentally deleted my history file by doing:

In[10]: %clear

I restored the previous in the history file c:\documents and  
settings\username\_ipython directory and this file has 1000 lines in it.  
However, when I do the following:

In[11]: %hist -g

it does not show me everything in the shadow history as there should be  
1000 entries. There are clearly one thousand entries in the history file,  
however.

Why is this?

Not that I am running IPython 0.91 on a Windows PC.
