[IPython-User] iPython overwriting command prompt

I just compiled and installed iPython on my Snow Leopard Mac.  When I
run ipython like:

$ipython -p pysh

Then when I type a command, the command overwrites the command prompt
instead of being written after the prompt.  Is this a problem with the
readline library I'm using?  Is there a simple change in the
preferences I can use to prevent this from happening?
