[IPython-User] ipython -pylab segfaults [Sort of SOLVED]

Be aware of the following bug in glibc !!!

it seems to be the source of segfaults. 

Gentoo is probably over the edge and sometimes ... I experience bugs.
Anyway with any other distrib be aware of your glibc version number and
you can check your glibc with the attachment in the previous link
