[IPython-User] Kernal dying in XP

I am trying to help a friend install ipython notebook on an XP machine.  
I have it running successfully on Ubuntu 11.04 and on XP running on 
VirtualBox on my computer.  When he tried to install it on his XP 
machine Firefox starts with the opening window for ipython notebook.  He 
selects new notebook, but if he tries to input any keystrokes on the 
In[]: line he gets the following message after each keystroke.



Does anyone have any suggestions?
