[IPython-User] how to start ipython

I installed ipython last night, but can't figure out how to get it started.

I'm using Windows XP

   1. There is no windows shortcut
   2. typing ipython at the command prompt gives the error "'ipython' is
   not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or
   batch file
   3. If I got to the scripts folder, I get this error:

C:\Python27\Scripts>ipython -p pylab
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Python27\Scripts\ipython-script.py", line 5, in <module>
    from pkg_resources import load_entry_point
ImportError: No module named pkg_resources
