Hi,

I just tried to install latest IPython 0.12.1 from
http://archive.ipython.org/release/0.12.1/ipython-0.12.1.win32.exe and
later (after uninstalling the previous one) from
http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/ipython-0.12.1.win32-py2.7.exe,
but only with a partial success. Both installation exe's don't produce any
error, nor they produce any IPython folder into the Startup-menu (and
associated links to various profiles and docs therein).

However, when simply testing like:
C:\Python27\Scripts>iptest -v IPython.testing

OK (SKIP=3)
it seems that IPython is indeed (at least in the basic level) working.

Now, I wonder, would it just be feasible to '*manually*' create IPython
folder in the start-up menu and link the relevant entries therein? Or, do
the installation exe's supposed to perform any other (more complicated)
kind of twist's further on?

If, as it seems now, it's going to be so simple to finish the installation,
could someone provide the proper cmd-line arguments for the various
profiles (like pylab, scipy, ...) cause the syntax seems to be changed
since 0.10.2.
