gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)
Python 2.2.1 (#1, Aug 30 2002, 12:15:30)

I did file a gcc bug report, as it looks like an issue with its
optimizer or architecture specific back-end.
