[Numpy-discussion] Does zero based indexing drive anyone else crazy?

I come from GAUSS so I am symphathetic, but in the end 
zero-based indexing is usually great.

Anyway, ideally you will rely on vector/matrix operations 
rather than constantly tracking indices.
