[Numpy-discussion] solution for mod_python / numpy interaction

So mod_python 3.2(.8) included a major overhaul of the import mechanism. 
  I'm still not sure what the problem is, and I think an 'import numpy' 
from site-packages/numpy _shouldn't_ cause an error (though it does).

But I can at least do my work.
