[Numpy-discussion] How to import data where the decimal separator is a comma ?

Hello,

I have data files where the decimal separator is a comma. Can I import this data with numpy.loadtxt ? 

Notes : 
- I tried to set the locale LC_NUMERIC="fr_FR.UTF-8" but it didn't change anything.
- Python 2.5.2, Numpy 1.1.0
