Hi,

I'm a Newbie, trying to compile Numpy on Vista with Python 2.6,
following this guide:
http://code.google.com/p/pyamg/wiki/CompilingOnWinXP

It worked one time. Now that I've updated Numpy to the latest subversion
and tried a second time, I get this error:

C:\Users\...>python C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\numpy\setup.py config
--compiler=mingw32 build --compiler=mingw32 install
Running from numpy source directory.

My PATH:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\binn\;C:\python26\;C:\Program
Files\Bazaar;C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin;C:\MinGW\bin\

There was someone on this list almost two years ago who had the same
problem. But he had \site-packages\numpy\ in his path, which I don't have.

Any help is highly appreciated.
