#510: Difference in the number of elements in a fromfile() between Windows and
Linux
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: Matt | Owner: somebody
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: numpy.core | Version: devel
 Severity: normal | Keywords:
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
 Let "0.0 inf 13.9040914426 14.7406669444 inf 4.41783247603 inf inf
6.05071515635 inf inf inf 15.6925185021 inf inf inf inf inf inf inf" be
the content of a text file data.txt
 If data.txt is loaded with "data = numpy.fromfile("data.txt", sep=" ",
dtype = numpy.float)", the behaviour is different under Linux and Windows
 :
Linux : the array contains 20 elements.
Windows : the array contains only 6 elements.

Some thoughts : float("inf") in the Python interpreter is not recognised
under Windows as the infinite value, it is for Linux.
