 The patch "f32_from_str.2.patch" added by philbinj on 04/05/08 13:31:59,
 on Ubuntu Gutsy amd64 works for me, appears to fix the problem I reported,
 and all numpy tests (877 of them) pass with this applied. Unless someone
 else sees a problem with it, I recommend it is applied for 1.0.5.
