I can make a quick fix to the numpy log1p functions that might solve this
short term. Googling about, it seems that numpy's algorithm isn't quite as
accurate as we could wish and is also liable to be messed up by some
compiler optimizations. Fortran is better for such things ;) Anyway, I
think I'll do the quick fix, then maybe borrow the same code from Sun that
Python did in their numeric revamp.
