 So the 'stable' version 1.1.1.

 still has

      int __status

 in it. So what shall it be in the end ?

 short , uint16_t

 Shouldn't at least a note on this 'open issue' be posted for newbies on
 the main download page?

 Is there a previous version that could be used until the issue is
 resolved?
