Comment:

 Note: these patches have been generated for numpy 1.4.1, but current numpy
 1.5.0b1 has exactly the same bug.

 Note also that the tracking system messed up a little bit with newlines in
 the code I pasted from an interactive session showing the issue. Figure
 out yourself where the newlines should be :-)
