 i see your point. i'm afraid there is no such discussion, as there is
 nobody to discuss it with ;p microsoft won't listen, so it's pointless to
 report it either (i have tried, but the MS support channels are not
 accessible to the public, so i have no pointer ther).

 Since the breakage occurs on all my test systems (i have a few of them,
 especially at least one for each of windows xp, server 2003r2, windows 7,
 windows server 2008r2), i assume it is not something specific to my setup
 (as i don't touch system headers at all).

 i hope this is enough. otherwise i could still _start_ a discussion about
 it on the interopcommunity.com site, which is related to interix. maybe
 somebody has some to say...
