 Version r8236 and later resolves the Unknown CPU error on my AIX machine
 when compiling with gcc.  Thanks.
   AIX Version=5.3.7.2 ML07 Kernel=64 bit Multi-Processor
   PowerPC_POWER5 (64 bit)
   gcc (GCC) 4.2.0
