 I guess so, since no one fixed this. Pretty sure that's a distutils or
 bdist_mpkg bug though. file_util.py in distutils contains this little gem,
 which may be related:
 {{{
 # On Mac OS, use the native file copy routine
     if os.name == 'mac':
         import macostools
         try:
             macostools.copy(src, dst, 0, preserve_times)
 }}}
 Nice native copy routine, too bad os.name is "posix" on OS X. Should have
 been {{{sys.platform == 'darwin'}}}.

 This is pretty low on my list of things to look at I'm afraid.
