 Well, the branch is made, so it certainly does not end up in 1.6.x
 automatically. The first beta is released, so new features can not go into
 1.6.x anymore unless first discussed on-list. Bug fixes like this don't
 need discussion until RC1 and should be backported, preferably by the
 author.
