I have just downloaded and installed both the F2Py-2- and scipy_distutils-latest versions from http://cens.ioc.ee/projects/f2py2e/.

When I tried to run the test case given on the website  and some other test cases I found some error report such as:
ImportError: cannot import name process_file

The coding error was found in the file build_src.py sitting in the directory /somedir/python2.4/site-packages/scipy_distutils/commands.

I decided to change Lines 14 and 198 (I hope I'm write) on the file from process_file to process_str and the required results were obtained. I hope you'll attend to this fix as promptly as you can considering your tight schedule.
