useful to say a bit more.

You do not need permission to edit the SciPy Wiki.
Unfortunately new users who click the "edit" icon get this 
message:

        You are not allowed to edit this page.

Is this configurable?  A more helpful and accurate message 
would be:

        You need to log in to edit this page.
