#513: Suppress output to stdout by the function scipy.integrate.quatdrature
-----------------------------+----------------------------------------------
 Reporter: pecora | Owner: somebody
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone: 0.7
Component: scipy.integrate | Version: 0.5.2
Severity: normal | Keywords: superfluous output
-----------------------------+----------------------------------------------
scipy.integrate.quatdrature outputs the number of points it used to
calculate the integral each time it is called. E.g. if fcn is a python
function I have written that I want to integrate between xi and xf, then,

 scipy.integrate.quadrature(fcn, xi, xf)

 will generate the output

   Took 35 points.

in the terminal or whatever I use for stdout. I would like to suppress
this output since calling quadrature many times (as I have to in many
programs) will generate a lot of output and disrupt any output I have. I
suspect the 'Took nn points' is left over from some debugging. Maybe
that's wrong, but it should at least be an option.
