#577: Problem with step function in signal.scipy.ltisys.py
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 Reporter:  clovisgo  |       Owner:  somebody
     Type:  defect    |      Status:  new
 Priority:  normal    |   Milestone:  0.7
Component:  Other     |     Version:
 Severity: normal | Keywords: step function problem
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 This defect (can be exposed by the following code):

 #Configuration details:
 #Windows XP running on AMD64 CPU
 #Numpy 1.0.4
 #Scipy 0.6.0

 import scipy.signal as ss
 num=[1.0]
 den=[1.0,0.0]       #which corresponds to a simple integrator
 sys=ss.lti(num,den) #this works fine
 sys.step()          #the following instruction doesn't work
                     #and produces several errors
                     #if den=[1.0,1.0] (a simple low-pass filter) the code
 works
                     #which makes me believe that the step function
 "doesn't like"
                     #poles in the origin.
