 Ooops! An additional slight defect.

 The docstring for the class claims that the norm computes a ''square''
 array for `r`. It also (obviously) handles the rectangular case correctly,
 as it must in order to solve the system, since it needs distances between
 the "control points" and the "interpolated points".

 This is a defect in the documentation only.
