 The attached patch is indeed completely random, removing it.

 Also, I'm not sure this is needed. In the rare case arrays are sorted
 backwards, reversing them with
 {{{
 x[-1:0:-1]
 }}}
 is shorter than having a special keyword for it. Documentation is already
 clear:
 {{{
 x : array
     A 1D array of monotonically increasing real values.
 }}}
 I think this can be closed.
