#1492: stats.normaltest raises ValueError when the sample size is too small (but
not in a nice way)

      Type:  defect            |      Status:  closed
  Priority:  normal            |   Milestone:  0.10.0
 Component:  scipy.stats       |     Version:  0.9.0
Resolution:  fixed             |    Keywords:

Changes (by warren.weckesser):

  * status:  new => closed
  * resolution:  => fixed

Comment:

 As can be seen in the traceback, the problem actually occurs in skewtest.
 skewtest requires at least 8 samples. In commit:226155655fb703f00749,
 skewtest was changed to raise a ValueError when it is given fewer than 8
 samples. So normaltest will raise a ValueError, too, but now the error
 message is meaningful.
