#1435: Problems when calling special.legendre function over a list for high order
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: luducl | Owner: pv
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: scipy.special | Version: 0.9.0
 Keywords: |
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
I found some troubles when I call the function 'legendre' from the
'special' package for a list, e.g

legendre(i)([-1,1]) doesn't behave very well for high i.

 while

 legendre(i)(array([-1,1])) does behave well.

The problem is that the documentation doesn't say that the input has to be
an array and that if the input is a list, the function throws something at
 first plausible.

 Thanks.
