#1704: interpolate does not warn about repeated x values
-------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
 Reporter:  thejowe55          |       Owner:  somebody
     Type:  defect             |      Status:  new
 Priority:  normal             |   Milestone:  Unscheduled
Component:  scipy.interpolate  |     Version:  0.10.0
 Keywords:                     |
-------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
 When making an interpolated function from a set of x and y values with one
 x value repeated like this:
 {{{
 x = [1,1,2,3,4]
 y = [1,2,3,4,5]

 tck = interpolate.splrep(x,y,s=0)
 }}}
 the interpolation goes without any warnings or errors and returns a bunch
 of NaN's instead of data. Is it possible to add a warning that there is a
 repeated entry in the list of values for the independent variable?
