#1674: scipy.io.netcdf: flush+close writes data twice
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: rewquey | Owner: somebody
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone: Unscheduled
Component: scipy.io | Version: 0.10.0
 Keywords: netcdf |
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
When creating a netcdf-file, calling flush() and subsequently close()
apparently writes the data twice. The written netcdf file can be opened by
other programs (like ncview, ncdump) and re-read by scipy.io.netcdf_file
like it should, just the file size is twice of the expected value.

In my case (1.5G instead of 724M for a whole lot of files) this makes a
 huge difference ...
