[SciPy-user] wierd problem

So I have more details on this:

If I try:

import scipy
from optimize import fsolve

I get an error that optimize doesn't exist.

However, if I try:

import scipy
scipy.test()
from optimize import fsolve

then the import works fine and fsolve is available

This seems super weird to me. Any ideas?
