You probably need to quote that line:
ipython -editor "C:\Program Files\Crimson Editor\cedt.exe"
Same for editing the ipythonrc file, try with quotes around the name.
And yes, the problem is most likely the spaces in the filenames (that causes
no end of grief for many tools, not just ipython).
