When running test_optimize.py on a newer PC with an older scipy I don't get the error.

Specs of the newer PC:
CPU: Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
Memory: 512MB
OS: Windows XP SP2
Scipy: 0.4.9
Numpy: 0.9.8

Specs of the older PC:
CPU: Pentium 2 450Mhz
Memory: 128MB
OS: Windows XP SP2
Scipy: 0.5.0
Numpy: 1.0b1

I'm going to install a newer version of scipy on the new PC and try again.

Thanks,

Bas.
