Run

nm _fftpack.so | grep fftw

and see if there are any fftw symbols.

Without:

000084c0 b caches_drfftw
00008400 b caches_zfftw
         U fftw_destroy_plan
         U fftw_execute
         U fftw_free
         U fftw_malloc
         U fftw_plan_dft_1d
         U fftw_plan_many_dft
         U fftw_plan_r2r_1d
00002b20 t get_cache_id_zfftw
000084a0 b last_cache_id_drfftw
000083e4 b last_cache_id_zfftw
000084a4 b nof_in_cache_drfftw
000083e0 b nof_in_cache_zfftw

With:

... very very long list.
