[SciPy-user] how can I get fsolve() work?!

Hello Steve,

you are right, the test didn't finish and I didn't see any text that you added.

Now I am reading the information about installation in Scipy homepage. Maybe I have done something wrong. If you have any idea, please let me know. Thank you!

The UMFPACK maessage just tells you that your installation has no module 
scipy.linsolve.umfpack (the build of this was disabled when scipy was 
compliled) which shouldn't be something to worry about as long as you 
don't want to use it.
