[SciPy-user] scipy with mac 10.4 vecLib, undefined dso_handle ?

More on building scipy from source on Mac Os X 10.4 ppc:
do NOT say
    [build_ext]
    link_objects = /System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework\
/Versions/A/Accelerate

in site.cfg or ~/.pydistutils.cfg, because build will deep crash like this:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    ...
      File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/lib/python2.5/\
distutils/unixccompiler.py", line 222, in link
        lib_opts + ['-o', output_filename])
TypeError: can only concatenate list (not "str") to list

Without this link_objects, numpy and scipy find the .../Accelerate.framework
by themselves and build ok
(macosx 10.4.11 + Xcode 2.4.1 fixed the undefined dso_handle)

BUT it shouldn't crash ...

Can anyone point me to a nice long sample site.cfg for Macs please ?

And a WIBNI (wouldn't it be nice if): setup.py could write a site-merged.cfg
that echoes all its input files and options ?

cheers
