Wow, I am bluffed. I was pretty sure of the contrary and didn't check.

Rob and David, you can use it by replacing the call to
mlab.pipeline.delaunay2d by a call to:

mlab.pipeline.user_defined(obj, filter='SurfaceReconstructionFilter'),

as in the following example:
