creating a view with structured dtype

>>> x = np.array([[1, 2],[3,4]])
>>> x.view(dtype=[('a', np.int32), ('b', np.int32)])
array([[(1, 2)],
       [(3, 4)]],
      dtype=[('a', '<i4'), ('b', '<i4')])
