[SciPy-User] umfpack runs out of memory

sometimes an unix or linux is configured with a max limit of resources by user.
the standard case is 4GB ram per process
try "ulimit" and check what is the answer (if installed).
if this is the case a "ulimit unlimited" should answer the problem
