I can reproduce this with the official numpy/scipy-rc binaries, but not
the msvc9/MKL ones.

The faulthandler traceback is:

   File "X:\Python32-x32\lib\site-packages\scipy\linalg\_decomp_qz.py",
line 170 in qz
   File
"X:\Python32-x32\lib\site-packages\scipy\linalg\tests\test_decomp.py",
line 1705 in test_qz_double_sort
   <snip>

Line 170 of linalg\_decomp_qz.py:

     result = gges(sfunction, a1, b1, lwork=lwork, overwrite_a=overwrite_a,
                   overwrite_b=overwrite_b, sort_t=sort_t)

Hope it helps.

Christoph
