Sorry for the sloppy spelling above :/

Here's how to append the suggested path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH using bash:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib64/atlas/

Then, start a Python shell and try again.
