I asked about running IPython with wthread on Windows a couple of days ago and it fell through the cracks.

I have made some progress in that I figured out one way to make it work.
I copied the IPython_Shell.py script into a new file IPython_ShellWX.py with a desktop shortcut
and the operative lines are now:

import IPython

The problem is that when I run it, it works, but I get a warning error message.

D:\Enthought\lib\site-packages\IPython\Shell.py:709: DeprecationWarning: The wxP
ython compatibility package is no longer automatically generated or activly main
tained. Please switch to the wx package as soon as possible.
  import wxPython.wx as wx
Python 2.5 (r25:51908, Sep 19 2006, 09:52:17) [MSC v.1310 32 bit (Intel)]
Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.

Looking in Shell.py, there is the line (709):
        import wxPython.wx as wx

Is no one using wxPython on windows and this is undiscovered, or I am doing this really
stupid and there is a much better way.
