Even though the content is not technically lost, I would like to see
warnings for objects that have disappeared from svn. If content gets
silently hidden like this it will result in duplicated effort, you can't
rely on people noticing this every time.
The easiest way to make the transition is to copy the docstrings via SQL

That fixed it, thanks. The one thing that did not get copied was the status
of docstrings marked Unimportant, they were still in the Needs editing
state. I changed those manually.
