#292: Sparse/dense matrix vector multiplication
 Reporter: nils | Owner: somebody
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: scipy.sparse | Version: devel
 Severity: normal | Resolution:

Comment (by wnbell):

With the current version of sparsetools I get a residual of
6.3361343105e-07. Given that the nonzero numbers in the matrix range from
~3E3 to ~2E9 I think this difference can be attributed to differences in
the order of summation. When I replace the nonzeros in the matrix with
random values, I get a residual on the order of machine epsilon.
