 Keywords: ndimage histogram |
Comment (by pv):

 It works on 32-bit Ubuntu (Scipy 0.6.0 & 0.7.0.dev5294), and on 64-bit
Debian Etch (Scipy 0.7.0.dev5268). So it doesn't seem to be a simple
64-bitness issue. Valgrind doesn't show anything, either.

What does ''grep flags /proc/cpuinfo'' say on the failing boxes. Is it
possible that Fedora 10's Scipy binaries are compiled with SSE3 or other
extended CPU instructions, and the boxes in question have older CPUs that
 lack support for these?

Does it start working if you recompile Scipy 0.6.0 from sources yourself?
(Or SVN version of Scipy; I don't think anything significant in ndimage
has changed in between 0.6.0 and upcomping 0.7.0.) You can also try
something like this to turn architecture-specific optimizations off:
 python2.5 setup.py config_fc --noarch build
