#1364: interp2d is weird
 Reporter:  bubla              |       Owner:  somebody
     Type:  defect             |      Status:  new
 Priority:  normal             |   Milestone:  0.9.0
Component:  scipy.interpolate  |     Version:  0.8.0
 Keywords:                     |

Comment(by bubla):

 You are right that the transposition of the array solves the issue (I
 think that I will submit some docstring patch)

 However, the second issue (the "strange error") is still a problem.
 Just try
 for i in range(20):
     rand = sp.rand(20,30)
     sp.interpolate.interp2d(sp.arange(20), sp.arange(30), rand.T)
 and you are very likely to encounter the error I have talked about (I am
 unlucky enough to operate with a data set requiring interpolation that is
 affected by this error)
