Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce that Python(x,y) v2.6.2.0 has been released.

From a certain point of view, it's a step back because it's now based
on Python 2.6.2 instead of Python 2.6.3.
Actually it's a step forward because:
    * now the VPython plugin does work (apparently, a bugfix in Python
2.6.3+ has introduced an incompatiblity with current boost.python
release -- a binding tool on which VPython is based -- in other words,
let's stick to Python 2.6.2 for a while, shall we?),
    * Spyder was upgraded to v1.0.1 (with some important bugfixes, e.g.
for user account names having unicode characters)
    * xy was upgraded to v1.1.0:
o some bugfixes: e.g. 'startups' and 'logs' directories location
compatible with Vista's UAC
o introducing a new test script: xytest (just run 'xytest' in
your command window to check some basic features of your Python(x,y)
    * Eclipse/CDT: fixed C/C++ project configuration issue.

Please note that future Updates will be available for Python(x,y)
v2.6.2.0 only.
In other words, if you have already installed v2.6.3.0, please uninstall
it completely and then install v2.6.2.0 (of course this applies to
v2.1.x as well).
